5th January 2015: Moving home…..
Happy New
Year to all my readers and I hope you all had a wonderful festive period!
We have
finally moved home to a lovely house in a much quieter part of London from our
previous residence in King’s Cross. It is such a lovely house and everybody,
from the decorators to the removal company, have been very helpful. I wouldn’t
say it was a stressful experience but it was frustrating. I don’t like being
out of control and when liaising with the solicitors I was definitely out of control however it all came together nicely in
the end and we were in before Christmas.
Christmas
itself was spent in Scotland with my parents, sister and brother-in-law.
Although it takes so long to get there we do enjoy it so much when we spend
time there. My parents’ house is right on the beach, surrounded by fields, so
it is very relaxing and peaceful. Such a contrast to London and a well
needed break after the tiring move. Thankfully
we were not caught up too badly in the rail chaos during the weekend of the 28th
December, yet it still took us 12 hours to get home although this was expected.
So unfortunately,
but to be expected, progress with the sequel has ground to a halt! Not much has
happened with the novel at all since the last time I wrote, though of course
now that we are settled I am hoping to get my head down and push on with it.
Regarding
Everything to Nothing, Phil Leader who wrote a 4* review of Everything to
Nothing has placed my debut novel on his Books of 2014. Read his thoughts

and the
original review here:

I finished
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen which was quite a strange book with a nice twist of
an ending but I wouldn’t go out of my way to read any further books from this
author. My dad passed to me Carte Blanche by Jeffery Deaver which is a 007
novel. It is good so far.
Well that is
all for now. I am going to return to writing the sequel which
will hopefully start to come along quicker now that the house move is over.
Enjoy reading and take care.
